Announcements this week included the welcome of a new choir member, an update about the Expression of Interest list, and a reminder about Liam’s request. Have you handed it in yet?

Artistic Director

1. SOUL FOOD HOMEWORK FOR LIAM
   • Liam is still looking forward to receiving a letter from each choir member in response to his request.
   • As a reminder, his request was: “Write a letter dated May 30, 2026, when our year ends and the letter must begin with these words: Dear Liam, This year at Open Voices was successful and fruitful because… and then fall passionately in love with yourselves and writing a letter describing who you will have become by the following May to justify this extraordinary year. Write about who you would be, who you could be, who you see yourself as if only that little voice in your head stopped telling you that you couldn’t do it.”

2. MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNICATION    (Shauna Peart)
   • Welcome to Angelique Roy, who has joined the Soprano section! Michael Cooke will be joining the Tenor section beginning on November 5th. We await confirmation from 2 additional tenors who have been invited to join the choir and we look forward to welcoming them soon.
   • All other people on the Expression of Interest List have been informed that the choir is at capacity for this season.
